RISE AGAIN

"You could have done better",
(But I really did try my best.)
I give them another hopeful letter,
But my answers get worse in the next test.

"I didn't expect this from you",
(Neither have I ever expected this),
All my excuses aren't completely true
But –my old results– I badly miss!

"You have made my hopes shatter",
(But I couldn't even save my own hopes.)
These grades, somehow, does matter–
I learnt as I keep slipping down the slopes.

(But I know-)
Somewhere, the sun is waiting to rise
And once again, I am going to be wise.

Two souls, seated in hushed silence, Their hearts drawing closer than their skin is, While their skin empties the lingering voidance, Knowing exactly how irremissible of a sin this is. Their breathings grow hauntingly shallower, As the air thickens with the growing tension. And, ignoring the dread of morrow's hangover, The fantasy quietly slips into the sixth dimension. The illusory mystique of their proximity , knows nothing but delusional insanity, Since the only thing that's left sane are the emptied glasses of champagne. His fingers trace her meticulous silhouette, Whilst her hands run through his hair, Completely unaware of their destiny's threat, They proceed to turn their love into a sinner's prayer. And so the night continues to chant its spell, Until their obscenity taints their own virtue, For tomorrow's dawn shall rise only to quell, And name their intimacy as their fate's miscue...                           ...

BLOOD, SWEAT & TEARS

She was smudged in blood; Yet, the only thing she heard- was her dear child's cries & continued to wipe the tears off his eyes. Oh! How she was scented in sweat! Yet, her children had rosy cheeks And that beautiful sobriquet that she thought of for 36 weeks. And the way she always hid her tears when she spent the night with her only dears They said-"You deserve not this, but diamonds" & She replied-"I'd rather die for my children."
