INANE OBLIQUITY

Slowly losing the warmth of your skin,
I am afraid the end is about to begin.
There's nothing left between us that's akin,
And now, only parting can redeem the sin.

Behind the curtains, the sun is about to set,
But, I guess, the darkness has already set in.
Our songs replay in my mind like a cassette,
and you know I already hate this feelin'.

The clouds, outside, are painting themselves black,
And my heart, here, simply wishes you back.
O, I fear, this time, the rain will not be-
just enough to wash away your agony.

I accept what I did was out of my inane obliquity,
But please, don't let my tears be our love's eulogy.
Oh Dear! For the sake of our remnants of proximity,
"Can you please, for once and all...accept my apology?"
